Typealyzer - INTJ

My brain activity while writing on this blog
Adam just posted about a website called Typealyzer that attempts to figure out your personality type by reading the contents of your blog. It reported that I am INTJ (Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging), or “the Scientists.” From Typealyzer:
“The long-range thinking and individualistic type. They are especially good at looking at almost anything and figuring out a way of improving it - often with a highly creative and imaginative touch. They are intellectually curious and daring, but might be physically hesitant to try new things.
The Scientists enjoy theoretical work that allows them to use their strong minds and bold creativity. Since they tend to be so abstract and theoretical in their communication they often have a problem communicating their visions to other people and need to learn patience and use concrete examples. Since they are extremely good at concentrating they often have no trouble working alone.”
It’s pretty accurate for me. It’s actually a little scary. And, I did a google search that turned up this INTJ Profile .
I ran some of my friends’ sites through and it was pretty hit or miss. It only reads the page you send it to, so it will have a wide range of accuracy. Give it a try and let me know your results.

Update: After posting this I ran the test again and it changed to INTP (replacing Judging with Perceiving).

I’m not surprised that our personality types are so similar (or, in your second analysis, identical). Probably one of the reasons we have so many common interests. Cool stuff!

Apparently I’m an ISTP - The Mechanics. Here’s the detailed description:
The independent and problem-solving type. They are especially attuned to the demands of the moment are masters of responding to challenges that arise spontaneously. They generally prefer to think things out for themselves and often avoid inter-personal conflicts.
The Mechanics enjoy working together with other independent and highly skilled people and often like seek fun and action both in their work and personal life. They enjoy adventure and risk such as in driving race cars or working as policemen and firefighters.
I feel like that’s a pretty deft read on me; I’m especially fond of the idea driving a race car.

ESTP - The Doers
The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.
The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

This was really fun. Anyone know of any more tests like this? Thanks for contributing.
