    Nice metaphor, jimmy. I don’t have a clue about sports–but i’m guess­ing it means Karl is awesome–if we’re on the same page here.

    i like the pair­ing of the shapes and pri­mary col­ors in the first image. what kind of con­cept are you work­ing with?

    @David – The color scheme, rough lay­out, and Sat­urn were ideas directly from Sirocco. Since we were using sim­ple col­ors I thought that sim­ple shapes would also be appro­pri­ate to sig­nify the DIY atti­tude of Sirocco. They also wanted the logo to feel at home in the 1960s (a kind of retro-futurism) and to look equally appro­pri­ate in one of their movies or a sci­en­tific jour­nal. The lat­ter is reflected in the sec­ond design.
